Douglas and Jake,
Words can’t express our gratitude for the presentations you gave today. Thank you for your openness and vulnerability. Thank you for talking to our kids and pouring your heart and soul into those presentations. It was so impactful and kids have nothing but positive things to say about you both and the message you gave.
Thank YOU! You both are making a difference one presentation at a time.
Have a great weekend and stay in touch,
Michelle and DPMS staff

Brad Schimel on Jacob Jansen’s pardon application (Pardon granted 2022)…

“I was the DA when this case was prosecuted.  I support this application for pardon.  Jacob Jansen has gone to extraordinary levels to support his own rehabilitation, but also to support many others in their recovery from addiction and rehabilitation from their criminal pasts.  I have witnessed much of the work he is doing and am proud of him and support this application.”

To Whom it May Concern,
If you have a desire to have an exciting and relevant presentation that is tailored to your audience then look for further. Douglas Darby has been presenting to my health class for two years on the danger of drugs and he shares his experiences unedited though his eyes. Early on it is easy to see the students are tuned in to his presentation and he engages the students throughout the entire time.  Just what students need to hear and at their level.  Douglas is a passionate professional, full of energy, with a great sense of humor that delivers very relevant stories and addresses the elephant in the room on important topics.  If you are looking for a man that will bring passion and a fresh perspective to anything he does then consider him to be part of your team.”

“It’s scholarship time at WHS and we offer a Drug & Alcohol Free scholarship here at the high school.  Only our seniors who can say that they haven’t used any substances in high school can apply for it. When applying they have to write an essay on why they chose to stay substance-free.  We had two different students mention you in their essays this year and cited you as one of the motivating factors as to why they chose to stay drug and alcohol free.  To put this in perspective… They are seniors now which means they haven’t seen your presentation since they were freshmen.  3 years later they still are impacted by your message!!
Thank you for coming to our school and making a difference!  Looking forward to having you again next year!”
