Virtual Care Navigation Center

The VCNC was created by Jake and Doug who saw an unmet need and potential liability for the schools. After speaking, many students would have questions, who then were often referred to other high school students with minimal training or resources. This type of peer support while positive, could lead to incorrect information or referrals while putting stress on the other students trying to solve classmates’ issues. Turning The Page saw this problem, and came up with an innovative solution.

The Turning the Page Virtual Care Navigation Center is a revolutionary virtual center currently offered to High Schools and communities to help create warm hand offs to local licensed professionals and other social services. It is designed to be support for students after they watch the Small Talks video series or hear a live presentation from Jake and Doug. All Care Navigators have been selected through an application process and trained in SBIRT, Suicide Prevention and De-escallation Training, to help refer H.S students to the appropriate help.

The VCNC can help students navigate to tutoring, mental health, substance abuse services, support groups, social support issues and other healthy living resources.
