TTP’s Effective 3 Part Program
Coming Soon
Part 1 – T.R.U.T.H.
If streaming videos to your phone, computer or tablet is not your thing, or you just want a more personalized experience, have Jake and Doug come to your school or community and speak live! With hundreds of presentations already completed, Jake and Doug have perfected speaking their experience of strength, hope and positive changes which motivate the listeners to do better, break the stigma around mental health and ask for help. These engaging stories help students to open up about their problems, and hopefully seek help independently or through our Virtual Care Navigation Center. Live presentation costs are tailored to each school based on size, location, and time commitment required. For a free estimate, or for more information, please call 262-290-1072
Part 2 – Small Talks Videos
The Small Talks Video Series is the innovative way to stream helpful content directly to the students while they are virtual or in person. In this series of videos, Jake and Doug share their personal stories and tools on how to deal with everything from healthy sleep habits to bullying to seeking help for mental health or substance abuse / miss-use issues. Since Turning The Page has it’s own production equipment and staff, videos can be made in as little as 2 to 3 weeks if a school or community has a special request for a video. All video scripts are written by a licensed social worker and substance abuse counselor, then Jake and Doug add their own personal touches to each video to help break mental health and addiction stigmas. With a total of 20 planned videos by mid-2024, and open to suggestions for more, the Small Talks with Jake and Doug videos can be paired with your school’s AODA curriculum to add support for current programming that may already be in place.
Part 3 – Virtual Care Navigation Center
The VCNC was created by Jake and Doug who saw an unmet need and potential liability for the schools. After speaking, many students would have questions, who then were often referred to other high school students with minimal training or resources. This type of peer support while positive, could lead to incorrect information or referrals while putting stress on the other students trying to solve classmates’ issues. Turning The Page saw this problem, and came up with an innovative solution.
The Turning the Page Virtual Care Navigation Center is a revolutionary virtual center currently offered to High Schools and communities to help create warm hand offs to local licensed professionals and other social services. It is designed to be support for students after they watch the Small Talks video series or hear a live presentation from Jake and Doug. All Care Navigators have been selected through an application process and trained in SBIRT, Suicide Prevention and De-escallation Training, to help refer H.S students to the appropriate help.
The VCNC can help students navigate to tutoring, mental health, substance abuse services, support groups, social support issues and other healthy living resources.
Our Mission
Turning The Page was created to bring different educational programs into the communities through connection, speaking and media resources in which we focus on mental health, substance use disorders, connections, behavioral change and hope.
Our Vision
Turning The Page saw an opportunity to bring better mental health and substance abuse education into the communities. Our goal is to help you learn how to be the best person you can be and reach out for help when needed. That’s why we’ve created important fundamental courses around substance abuse and mental health. Through the founders experience, engaging presentations and back end support, we can turn the page on mental health and substance abuse together.
